Inspiring sessions where thought meets creativity

As part of our diverse range of summer activities for 2026, we launched the Summer Bytes program, shedding a light on a variety of topics connected to the creative sector; explored through rich, inspiring and interactive sessions with specialists and experts in each respective field. The program's sessions ran between June and August, held virtually via Meet, offering a fitting window for those interested in the creative sector. We opened the program with a session examining the challenges facing today's new graduates and how they can keep pace with the rapid shifts of the digital transformation era, presented by Mr. Almegdad Salih, the company's Creative Affairs Officer, who shared a wealth of insights and experiences drawn from years of accumulated expertise in the creative sector and in supporting and nurturing talented, creative individuals. This was followed by an engaging session on how to build video games from the ground up, presented by Mr. Mohammed El-Amin, a software engineer specializing in the gaming industry with distinguished contributions and extensive experience in the field. He walked through the complete game development process and the various roles and professions tied to the craft, along with the mechanics of building games across different genres in a way designed to inspire passionate young people to begin their own game development journey, guiding them on how to start and grow over time according to the resources required and available.
Our third session was with Mr. Mohammed Yahya, a researcher in history and in local and global oral heritage, and a creative content consultant, who raised a fundamental question about the importance of addressing the issue of writing for future generations, and its implications for preserving Arab heritage and identity amid the blending of cultures and the identity crisis looming over today's generation. The session's themes were further enriched by a lively, engaged dialogue between the speaker and the audience. The program's grand finale was a standout session on Illustration, presented by Dr. Sarah Willard, a specialist in visual studies and creative industries at the United Arab Emirates University, who shared with us the distilled wisdom of her life, recounting an inspiring journey in art and illustration that began in childhood and carried through every stage to the present day. She offered the audience of passionate artists and creatives a valuable collection of advice, insight, and guidance, drawn from her rich experience and singular vision. Across its varied sessions, the program was distinguished by the richness of its content and by the spontaneous, creative spirit of dialogue that opened the floor for attendees to share their own perspectives and ideas within an inspiring, interactive environment; one that met with genuine appreciation and fulfilled the program's intended goals, bringing down the curtain on 2026’s summer that was brimming with the spirit of inspiration, collaboration and innovation.
